Pirates Game

July 30th, 2014. (6 years, 1 month old.) by ben

We went to San Francisco today to see the Pirates play the Giants – my first major league baseball game!

Daddy got us really good seats – although he didn’t get us seats where the foul balls kept going.  Next time, I want those seats!

I learned how to really root for your team:

We had some nice treats, like ice cream…

… and this thing Daddy called a ‘churro’.

Awesome!  Except that the Pirates lost (7-5).  Oh well.

It was such an exciting day that I fell asleep in the car on the way home – in my new Giants hat!  Guess I’m a giants fan, now.

Trip to Doran Beach

July 24th, 2014. (6 years, 1 month old.) by ben

M&D and I took a trip out to the beach.  First we went back to the tide pools so I could show Mommy what she missed on the field trip.

Then we went over to the wave beach.  My friend Zoey came to meet us and Daddy buried us in the sand!

I want to go back again!

Sleepover

July 20th, 2014. (6 years, 1 month old.) by ben

First, I had to practice at home with my sleeping bag for a few nights.  After that, I was ready!

Then it was over to Avery’s on the appointed evening.  After dinner, we pitched the tent…

…and moved in!

We stayed up late and read stories by flashlight!  Awesome!

Motorcycle Ride

March 30th, 2014. (5 years, 9 months old.) by ben

I went for my first ride on the motorcycle!  That was really fun!  It was just around the neighborhood, but maybe next time we’ll go further.

Andrew thought it looked like so much fun that he wanted to sit and try it out.

He found the neat flip toy that they build right into the top there where he can reach it.  That motorcycle has something for everyone!

Teeth – Delivered

January 22nd, 2014. (12 months, 1 week old.) by andrew

Those front teeth for Christmas?  Well, they arrived by my birthday!  Check out my new smile!

Chomp Chomp!

Basketball Game

January 14th, 2014. (5 years, 7 months old.) by ben

Here I am, nearly dressed and ready to go.  I’m wearing my basketball team T-shirt!

At the gym, we had a pre-game huddle with the coaches before the game.  Our team is the Clippers.

And here’s a bit of us playing the Rockets!

We didn’t win, but we sure had fun!

One Year Old

January 12th, 2014. (12 months old.) by andrew

Today was my first birthday!  Uncle John, Avery, and Ollie came over to help me to smile for my picture.  It worked!

Then we went to the school playground to play for a while.

Later on, the Knapps came over to celebrate and have birthday muffins with me.  Yummy!  And there was singing while everybody looked at me.  Not sure what that was about…

Exploritorium Visit

December 30th, 2013. (5 years, 6 months old.) by ben

Daddy took me to the Exploritorium museum for a visit.  They had all kinds of fun things to see and play with there, like this machine that would change a sound depending on how you set the sliders.  It was trying to show how people can make different sounds by moving their tongues and throats – a question I’d asked Daddy about just the week before!

Here they had some termites to look at. There was a microscope so you could look inside the termite’s tummy and see the germs that help them digest the wood they eat.

We had lunch outside.  I’m posing with my seagull friend.  He was happy to get some bread from me!

There was a giant mirror that made it look like you were floating upside-down in mid air.  Weird.  (See daddy on far left in mirror image.)

We had a great time, but I was so tired out after all that that I fell asleep on the way home!

Christmas Tree

December 24th, 2013. (11 months, 1 week old.) by andrew

So, there was a lot of excitement about this ‘Christmas’ thing.  I wasn’t sure what was really going on until this tree showed up – in the house – and it was covered with colorful and shiny things that I could grab.

Now I get it.

Phone Book Surprise!

December 23rd, 2013. (11 months, 1 week old.) by andrew

Who knew that the phone book was such a great toy!  There’s tons of easy to tear pages, and M&D don’t even mind of you tear them!  Wooo Hooo!
