Driving Trucks
August 27th, 2009. (14 months, 3 weeks old.) by benLately, I’ve been discovering that you can drive trucks and tractors all over the house! And all over just about everything in the house!
Here I am experimenting with tunnel driving. Oh, and the driving works better when you make a good “grrrrrrr” or “vrrrrrrr” noise.
(Ed. Note: We’re told that the next stage in truck driving is truck smashing, as in two trucks in a head-on collision! When it happens, you’ll see it here first!)
Further Adventures of Goggle Boy
August 24th, 2009. (14 months, 3 weeks old.) by benLately, I’ve taken to wearing the goggles around the house. I like the dark ones – don’t they make me look cool?
Daddy says he thinks I could get a job as one of those nuclear blast observers, but I gave him a stinky face meaning, “Silly Daddy, above ground nuclear weapons testing is illegal these days!”.
Mousing Around
August 21st, 2009. (14 months, 2 weeks old.) by benToday I got to spend some more time learning how to use the “mouse”. I see M&D grabbing this all the time, and I can see why! It has these buttons and a turning wheel and a red light! Mommys and Daddys have all the best toys!
(Ed. Note: Ben is also showing off his curly locks!)
Starting Day Care
August 18th, 2009. (14 months, 2 weeks old.) by benM&D took me to where I’ll be starting what they call ‘Day Care’. It looks to me like a place with friendly people, other kids, and LOTS OF TOYS! Yay! In addition to seeing LOTS OF TOYS, I got to meet some of the friendly people and see where I’ll be spending a couple days a week.
Here I am on one of the fun climbing toys. They say that they can make this one even taller for advanced climbers like me!
Bustin’ Dust
August 13th, 2009. (14 months, 1 week old.) by benThis morning I upgraded from my usual dust mop to the power tool of dust-mopping: the Dust Buster!
I find that the determined look helps me eliminate fur balls and stray kitty litter that much more effectively.
Grrrrrr….. Busted!
SoCal Visit – Ma and Pa’s house
August 10th, 2009. (14 months, 1 week old.) by benAfter Grandpa and Nanna’s, it was on to Ma and Pa’s.
Boy do they have some good toys! (I think I have cousins Luke and Lucy to thank for that.)
First up was the tricycle. I wasn’t quite ready to ride, but I had a great time pushing this around the patio.
And then there was the slide! I learned to climb in, and then with a little help was able to slide down. Weeeee!
After that, Ma got out this great rolling basket. I figured this one out in no time. Rock back, push, and away we go! And I could take all my stuff with me, too!
Later on, I got to help Ma water her garden. The best part about this was getting wet and getting my hands in the dirt. Fun!
Oh, and did I mention the stairs? They have stairs too, just like Grandpa and Nanna!
I also got to visit with my cuz Avery and Uncle John:
We even went to the beach together! I wasn’t too sure about the cold and noisy water, so we mostly watched from up on the sand.
What a great time! I can’t wait to go back!
SoCal Visit – Grandpa & Nana Stark
August 8th, 2009. (14 months, 1 week old.) by benAfter Grandma and Jay’s, I got to go see Grandpa and Nanna. We had a great time visiting. I especially enjoyed going up and down the stairs, and watching the waterfall in their backyard! Oh, and the blueberries were really good, too. Thanks Nanna!
I also had fun moving this old pipe in the front yard.
And of course there was the trip to the park. I had fun climbing on the equipment with Daddy!
I’d go back there to visit anytime!
SoCal Visit – Grandma Tice & Jay
August 2nd, 2009. (14 months old.) by benI had a great visit at Grandma Tice and Jay’s house.
For starters, the weather was very warm, and there was this nice cool fountain to play in!
I got soaked and loved every minute of it!
Then there was a hose to investigate…
…and then some watering cans to move around.
Finally, I got a ride on the mower with Daddy. Maybe next year, I’ll work up the nerve to steer!
The next day, there were more hoses to investigate…
…and a splash in the pool with Daddy as chaperon!
I also was delighted to meet my Great Aunts Carol and Jean, and Great Uncle Phil.
