Pirates Game

July 30th, 2014. (6 years, 1 month old.) by ben

We went to San Francisco today to see the Pirates play the Giants – my first major league baseball game!

Daddy got us really good seats – although he didn’t get us seats where the foul balls kept going.  Next time, I want those seats!

I learned how to really root for your team:

We had some nice treats, like ice cream…

… and this thing Daddy called a ‘churro’.

Awesome!  Except that the Pirates lost (7-5).  Oh well.

It was such an exciting day that I fell asleep in the car on the way home – in my new Giants hat!  Guess I’m a giants fan, now.

Andrew Walking!

February 20th, 2014. (13 months, 1 week old.) by andrew

Here I go!

It was nice of Daddy to provide the soundtrack for my walking.  I wasn’t thinking about falling down while I was listening to the music!

(Ed. Note, somewhat reminiscent of this video…)

New Bike!

May 28th, 2013. (4 years, 11 months old.) by ben

M&D got me a new Lightning bike for my birthday!  I got it yesterday, and with lots of practice and some help from Daddy, I’m already riding it.  It’s not even my birthday yet!

This is so fun.  Yay!  I can’t wait to show Grandpa and Nana when they come.

Trampoline at Henry’s

We recently went to Henry’s house for dinner, and I got to play on his trampoline. Weeeeeee!

Look at me defying gravity!

Nice pictures, Dad!

Best Daddy Ever Application

January 27th, 2012. by wil

I know it’s only January, but I think I’m already ready to submit my entry.

What to do when your child breaks their free, plastic trash can (ahem!  Recycle Bin…)… note once, but twice?  And breaks it in that unrepairable, broken plastic, “we’ll just have to throw this away” way?  Both times?  Oh, and did I mention that this assemblage of plastic is a longtime favorite toy?

You come to this Daddy.  That’s what.

Our first breakage was of the black plastic axle. With a little help from Grandpa Stark (I learn from, and take pointers from the best, you know), I worked in a brand new metal axle, melted right into those wheels.  That baby ain’t never coming off.  And the wheels?  They still roll.  That’s right.

While technically this fix occurred last year, I’m going to go ahead and include it on this year’s application, since the second repair to the same toy occurred today.

This time, Ben managed to snap off one of the two remaining lid attach points.  Once again, metal and torch to the rescue:

I’ve installed a custom fashioned bailing wire hinge that is melted into the lid for good measure.  And yes, the lid opens and closes as before.

When the judges are ready to award the prize, I can be contacted through this blog. :-)

And now, without further ado, Zoey and I shall perform our avant-garde rendition of: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Dinner at Zoey’s

October 8th, 2011. (3 years, 4 months old.) by ben

We went to Zoey’s house for dinner and a swim.  Daddy took me in the pool at Zoey’s neighbor’s house (Ed. Note: thanks Ray and Barbara!).  I really like jumping in from the side when Daddy is there to catch me.

We also went in the small warm pool for a while when the big pool got cold.

After swimming we helped M&D and Zoey’s Mommy do some harvesting and I found a really nice stick to poke the ground with.

I sure like Zoey!

Thanks Zoey (and Zoey’s Mommy and Daddy) for having us over!

Goggle Me

July 14th, 2009. (13 months, 1 week old.) by ben

I’ve always heard that people Goggle themselves to find out how popular they are.

Well, I’m not sure how to tell.  And it’s hard to see through these goggles.  Did it work?  Do I look popular?

How about now?

What?  What’s that you say?  Google?
