Pallet Jack

April 28th, 2011. (2 years, 10 months old.) by ben

This is my pallet jack, just like the ones they use in the back of Target to move stuff around.

For anyone who has never looked in the back of Target, I’d like to tell you about all the neat stuff.  They have electric pallet jacks that plug in when the batteries run out of energy.  They have big roll up doors where the delivery trucks park.  There’s fans and lights.  And bicycles hanging from the ceiling!  And big, big shelves with lots of cat food.  And people who work in the back of Target get to go through the doors and do lots of stuff!  Daddy says I can’t go back there unless I work at Target.  One day I’m going to work at Target!

Mowing the Lawn

One of my favorite things to do in the front yard is mow the lawn.

Sometimes I use my wheelbarrow for detail work.

Smashing Copper

April 17th, 2011. (2 years, 10 months old.) by ben

Mommy sure has it out for those snails!  She’s got Daddy and I doing hard labor building heavy duty snail barriers for the garden boxes.

But shhhhh!  Don’t tell her!  It’s really fun!

Sorting the Mail

April 10th, 2011. (2 years, 10 months old.) by ben

Recently I got to help the Mother’s Club prepare a mailing for their upcoming event.

I got to do all of the envelope sorting.  I hope all of the recipients will sense time and dedication I put into sorting their letters!

Visit with Ma & Pa

April 6th, 2011. (2 years, 10 months old.) by ben

Ma and Pa came for a visit.  We went to the mall where I had to ride the train.  I’m just smiling so that Ma and Pa would think that I was having a good time.  OK, OK, you got me.  So it really was fun.

After the train ride, we went to Build-A-Bear, where I got to pick out a new friend.

I would like to introduce the world to my new friend, Girl Kitty.  She’s may favorite girl kitty, and she’s totally good to go if she ever wants to run for president:

After all the shopping, it was nice to come back to the house a play blocks with a real pro.  Look at the gigantic tunnel I built with Pa!

As always, it was great to see you Ma and Pa!

Diapers on Couch #3

Some people think diapers are just for wearing.  Well, I’m here to tell you about modern toddler art!

Here is one of my largest installations to date:

I’m hoping to evoke a visceral reaction in my audience with this highly provocative piece, but I understand that reactions to my work are tempered by the viewer’s own life experiences.

(Ed. Note: Yeah, I get  the full range, like: BEN!  I JUST PUT THOSE DIAPERS BACK IN THE DRAWER YESTERDAY!  ARE YOU TRYING TO DRIVE ME CRAZY!  But isn’t that cute?  Get the camera!)
