Driveway Flattening

July 23rd, 2010. (2 years, 1 month old.) by ben

It’s a lot of hard work, flattening the driveway is.  But I got my hat and boots on, and went to work.

Of course, it always helps if you keep a smile on your face while you’re working.  Lots of stomping in my boots helps, too.

After the driveway was totally flat, I took a well deserved rest when I stopped to smell the roses.

Jack’s Birthday

July 19th, 2010. (2 years, 1 month old.) by ben

My friend Jack turned two recently (seems like this is happening to a lot of my friends, lately…).  He had a full-sized fire truck at his party, and we all got fireman hats to wear!

I got to sit up in the seat.  Did you know that fire trucks have lots of steps that you have to climb to get up into them?  They are way up off the ground!

There was also a bouncy house at Jack’s party.  Boy did I have fun bouncing and rolling around.  Maybe I can have one of these at my next birthday party.  Daddy?

Making Pizza

July 16th, 2010. (2 years, 1 month old.) by ben

After a couple of trips to Mary’s Pizza Shack where I got to watch the pros at work, it was time to try my hand at pizza making.

Mommy put me solely in charge of making the breadstick.  Here you can see me stretching it out to just the right length.  This takes a lot of concentration!

And here, I’m practicing sliding it off of the peel.  Easy!  (Daddy says it gets harder in the hot oven.)

And here, Mommy is showing me the finer points of adding the sauce and other ingredients.

I hope to help with this part next time.  Until then, I think we should go back to Mary’s so I can watch the pros some more!

Tummy Time With Daddy 2

July 13th, 2010. (2 years, 1 month old.) by ben

I think I’ve mastered this one now.

And here’s the original:

Daddy looks a lot older, doesn’t he?

Visit to Howarth Park

July 10th, 2010. (2 years, 1 month old.) by ben

Olivia, Baby Addison, and their Mommy Alex came up to visit me and M&D.  We went to the park to show them a good time.

Here, I’m demonstrating how to use the climbing equipment.

Here, Olivia and I are investigating the water fountain…

…and here, I’m showing how to run away from it!

After the fountain, we took a ride on the train.  This might be the most fun I’ve had in my entire life!  Boy was I tired and ready to go home for my nap!

Father’s Day

July 5th, 2010. (2 years, 1 month old.) by ben

Mommy took us to one of our playgroup haunts so I could show Daddy the sights.

Brush Creek Park has a cool water faucet that is great for making sand castles, or just getting yourself wet.

I also showed Daddy how I can sit on the big kid swings.

We had a great time!  Happy Father’s Day, Daddy!

Bubble Bath!

July 4th, 2010. (2 years, 1 month old.) by ben

I recently had my first bubble bath.  I think Daddy liked it more than I did.

(Ed. Note: Maybe we’ll try the bubble bath again later…)
