First Day of 2nd Grade
August 17th, 2015. (7 years, 2 months old.) by benAndrew was there (of course) to give me a warm send-off!
Once we got to school, I met up with my old pals Patrick and Julia!
OK, Dad. You can go now. Really.
Really?!

Well, it was time for another eye exam. As usual, I get to sit in the big fancy chair.
Too bad they won’t let me play with all the buttons on the chair and that big fancy thing with all the knobs. That would be so cool.
OK, well it is a first flight in a small airplane, anyway.
My friend Derek invited Daddy and I to go for a ride. At first a was a little scared, but after Derek practiced a few landings, I could tell that he was a good pilot.
You can see a lot of stuff out the window of this plane!
Mommy lets me help her with the housework.
Sometimes I really have to throw my weight around to scrub that spot… wait… that’s not under my chair is it?
You have to be vewwy vewwy quiet to sneak up on and capture those wascally potatoes!
Ok, not really. But it does help to have a digger (Mommy supplied) and a bowl to put them in.
Also it is more fun when Ben is helping. And we get to eat them later! Yummy!
Did you know that there is this train named Thomas? And Ben has a closet full of Thomases and train cars and tracks!?
And they have Thomas and train tracks at school? Well, it is all true!
I’m hooked!
(Ed. Note: Some parental help on this track assembly.)
