Exploritorium Visit

December 30th, 2013. (5 years, 6 months old.) by ben

Daddy took me to the Exploritorium museum for a visit.  They had all kinds of fun things to see and play with there, like this machine that would change a sound depending on how you set the sliders.  It was trying to show how people can make different sounds by moving their tongues and throats – a question I’d asked Daddy about just the week before!

Here they had some termites to look at. There was a microscope so you could look inside the termite’s tummy and see the germs that help them digest the wood they eat.

We had lunch outside.  I’m posing with my seagull friend.  He was happy to get some bread from me!

There was a giant mirror that made it look like you were floating upside-down in mid air.  Weird.  (See daddy on far left in mirror image.)

We had a great time, but I was so tired out after all that that I fell asleep on the way home!

Brudder Bath Time

December 26th, 2013. (5 years, 6 months old.) by ben

My little brudder has been taking baths with me lately.  He’s lots of fun to have in the bath.  He loves to splash and play with the toys.  Sometimes I laugh so hard it makes my sides hurt.

Christmas

December 25th, 2013. (5 years, 6 months old.) by ben

For Christmas, I got lots of Legos.  First, my WWII airplane, which can hold two passengers, and you can make the propeller turn by pushing the tail wheel!  (And of course, I’d already gotten some great sets from Grandpa and Nana!)

Grandma and Grandpa Harris came to visit for Christmas Day, and they got me the cargo airplane set.  It has a gigantic cargo jet plane, and a cargo loader, fuel truck, fork lift, control tower, and cargo!  I have a whole airport now!

It wasn’t all presents, though.  Grandma got to do some visiting with goo-goo bear while she was here.  (Is that a Lego he’s holding?)

It was great to see you, Grandma and Grandpa!

Christmas Tree

December 24th, 2013. (11 months, 1 week old.) by andrew

So, there was a lot of excitement about this ‘Christmas’ thing.  I wasn’t sure what was really going on until this tree showed up – in the house – and it was covered with colorful and shiny things that I could grab.

Now I get it.

Phone Book Surprise!

December 23rd, 2013. (11 months, 1 week old.) by andrew

Who knew that the phone book was such a great toy!  There’s tons of easy to tear pages, and M&D don’t even mind of you tear them!  Wooo Hooo!

Teething

December 21st, 2013. (11 months, 1 week old.) by andrew

Sometimes nothing helps but chewing on metal.

I hear that one day, these might be covered with cookie dough, though.  That sounds… interesting?

Harvesting Oranges

December 19th, 2013. (5 years, 6 months old.) by ben

It’s harvest time for the citrus in the backyard.  We got lots of yummy little Mandarin Oranges.

We’ve been eating them for dessert with our apples and pears.  I’m going to miss the grapes until they come back next spring!

Survey Says!

December 18th, 2013. (5 years, 6 months old.) by ben

Thanks to everybody who helped me with my homework.  Here are the survey results!

As you can see, I got a good grade from my teacher.

Christmas with Grandpa and Nana

December 17th, 2013. (5 years, 6 months old.) by ben

Grandpa and Nana came up for a Christmas visit.  It was really great to see them. They had a good time visiting with Andrew.

And they brought Christmas presents!  I got Legos. Grandpa helped me put stickers on my Cargo Heliplane.

Here’s my heliplane and space shuttle all finished.  Awesome!

11 months old

December 16th, 2013. (11 months old.) by andrew

Now that I’m 11 months old, sometimes it seems like 10 months was better.  Teething is hard!

But I am getting closer to walking!
