Ghost-Busted!

October 31st, 2008. (4 months, 4 weeks old.) by ben

M&D caught me getting ready for my 1st Halloween.  Check out my spooky ghost covered outfit, and the pumpkins Mommy grew this year!

And don’t I look just like this guy?

And, of course I just had to taste Mommy’s pumpkin!

(The outside doesn’t taste so good…)

Big Ben, Little Ben

October 29th, 2008. (4 months, 4 weeks old.) by ben

Big Ben tells Londeners the time, any time of the day or night.

I tell Mommy & Daddy when it is 3am, and 5am, and other times when I’m hungry or tired!

Big Ben has two hands.  So do I!

Big Ben has a round face.  So do I!

Big Ben is famous and very popular with people around the world.  I’m famous and popular with the people within my world!

Look – can you see the similarity?

Rollin’ over

October 23rd, 2008. (4 months, 3 weeks old.) by ben

Well, the day finally came.  I wonder what M&D thought when they found me in my crib this morning – facing the wrong way and on my tummy!?

I acted like nothing had happened, but they got all excited for some reason.

Later that day, M&D got a command performance out of me so that y’all could watch!

Thank you…. thank you very much.

(Ed. Note: You can download the video here.  Also, there’s a copy on YouTube. (Be sure to click on ‘watch in hight quality’)

Or you can look at it right here:)

Bigfoot!

October 23rd, 2008. (4 months, 3 weeks old.) by ben

Thanks to cousin Luke for passing on his super cool (warm, that is!) Ugg boots!  Now that the weather is getting cooler (again!), M&D have been putting me in these to go for walks.  They’re still a bit big, but they’re very cozy!  Of course, I try my best to kick my way out of them just to give M&D something to do while they’re pushing the stroller.

Slow Speed Chase

October 21st, 2008. (4 months, 2 weeks old.) by ben

Just hold still there, Atlas, and I’m gonna catch you!

Ok, now you’re just mocking me….

Ben-O’s Paradox

October 19th, 2008. (4 months, 2 weeks old.) by ben

I’m running as fast as I can (in my Jumperoo), but I’m never getting to the cat!  Can somebody explain this to me?  Is this a paradox?

(Ed. Note: Apologies to Xeno…)

Winston Churchill

October 18th, 2008. (4 months, 2 weeks old.) by ben

Some people think I look like Winston Churchill.  But then they say that all babies look like Mr. Churchill.  But if that is true, isn’t that just a nice way of saying that Winston Churchill looked like a baby?

I think I need some sort of hat to really complete the impersonation.

New Jumper!

October 17th, 2008. (4 months, 2 weeks old.) by ben

The new jumper is really great, but I haven’t yet figured out how… to …. turn…. a…. round….  I have to keep an eye on those Mommy and Daddy people after all.

There we go.  Oh, wait… I guess it wasn’t me that turned around was it?  On a different topic…  Ummmm… what’s this shiny thing here?

The Usual Suspects

October 15th, 2008. (4 months, 2 weeks old.) by ben

My editor convinced me to go with ‘The Usual Suspects’ for the title of this post, but I’m not so sure I understand why that’s funny.  All I know is I was having fun today hanging out with my super-duper friendly buddies who mysteriously ALL decided to join me in my pack-n-play today.  Yeee ha!

Cooking up something special

October 14th, 2008. (4 months, 1 week old.) by ben

Mommy is starting to introduce me to the fundamentals of cooking with my very own spoon, and loaner 1/4 cup measure.  So far, cooking is really fun!  I’m told that eating what you cook is even better, but I guess I’m not old enough for that yet.

Of course, the student can always play the part of teacher as well.  Here, I’m adding that “special something”. Yummmm…
