I followed big brother’s steps, and it worked! He’s a great teacher.
Here I go! Eye contact!
Make for the target!
Last check. Still a go for pulling up!
Distracted… by the shoelaces…
Back on track. Here I go!
I’m a comin’!
Engage smiler!
Wha..?!! How did I get here?
Just kidding. I’m just wondering what the big flashy thing is that Daddy is holding. Daddy, what gives? And why aren’t you picking me up?
Last weekend was pumpkin carving with the Thomassons.
They all came over and everyone had a pumpkin to carve. Dan was helping Jack. He chose a hard vampire pattern.
Here’s Oliver hard at work. His pumpkin had the most seeds. I’m not sure if that is good or bad.
And here we are with our finished Jack-o-Lanterns.
We went to the Peter Pumpkin Patch last weekend. We got there early when it was still foggy and cold.
They had a hay maze! I figured out how to go through the maze forward and backward in no time at all. Not bad for my first hay maze.
Then Uncle John, Aunt Heather, Avery, and Ollie arrived and it was time to ride to the pumpkin patch and pick the “perfect” pumpkin.
Boy were there a lot of pumpkins to choose from. I mean, a LOT. But for a while there, I had it almost all to myself.
After I found the perfect pumpkin, it was time to see some of the other stuff, like the old tractors…
…the newer tractors…
…the baby cows…
… and the old-timey wagon. Boy was there a lot of stuff to see!
Later we had some ice cream and took some pictures all together. It was fun showing Andrew the pumpkins.
I’m looking forward to carving my pumpkin for Halloween!
Now that I’m crawling around, I have to try to put it to good use.
I’ve discovered that I get a lot of attention when I take Ben’s napkin. So it is lots of fun! I sneak up and…
…Swipe! Yay!
Daddy and I went to the fair to go on the rides and see the “destruction derby”!
We started with a ride on the big Ferris wheel.
I wanted to ride the big roller coaster, but the sign said I wasn’t tall enough. Not fair!
So we found some other rides to go on. I went on the NASCAR race ride all by myself!
And the bouncing dune buggies, too.
We had dinner and then there was ice cream for dessert. This one was so big I couldn’t even finish it!
After we looked at the cows and goats, I got to check out the tractors.
Finally it was time to see the destruction derby. It was at the same place the monster truck rally was.
It was really fun watching the cars drive around the dirt and smash into each other. And then the tow trucks would come to tow them away!
I sure had a lot of fun, but maybe next year I’ll be able to go on the big rides!
Since Taylor’s birthday party, I have a new costume: Batman! See my mask and cape!
Sometimes I even go on adventures outside in disguise!
I’ve been spending more time in the Jumperoo lately. It’s fun to jump and also spin and grab the toys.
Who invented this thing? Awesome!
