Now that I’m grabbing things all the time, one of my favorite things to grab is my bug that M&D call ‘Diaper Bug’. I think they call it that because I mostly get to grab it when I’m getting a new diaper.
He is very friendly and has lots of legs and things to grab. He keeps me very busy!
Daddy took me to see the big fireworks show at the fairgrounds. I got to stay up waaaay past my bedtime but it was OK because I took a good nap at rest time. I took my ear protectors and raccoon mask in case I needed them. We waited and waited for it to get dark, and just when it was getting dark and I couldn’t wait any longer, the show started!
Boom! Boom! Boooom!!!
Wow! And at the end, they do a whole bunch of them at once! The whole sky lights up!
We went to the Thomassons’ house for dinner, and they have a slip-n-slide. After a lot of running around the yard, I was ready to try running and slipping!
Here I am, going for it!
This is really a bit scarier than it looks.
I tried not looking to see if that would make it any better…
That doesn’t really work too well. Better to keep your eyes open…
After a while I got the hang of it! Yay! (Woaaahhhh!)
For the second part of the trip, we rode on a bus with no sides out to where the giraffes and rhinos were! There were also addax, bongos, kudu, and a red river hog.
The giraffes were very tall – and friendly. They came right up to visit with us and say hello!
M&D got me a new Lightning bike for my birthday! I got it yesterday, and with lots of practice and some help from Daddy, I’m already riding it. It’s not even my birthday yet!
This is so fun. Yay! I can’t wait to show Grandpa and Nana when they come.
