Cirque du Bebé

I’m working on my acrobat moves, and dressing funny. I think that’s pretty much what it takes to be in the circus these days, right?
Ever the experimental mathematician (a field I think I’m pioneering), I was just the other day toying with the possibility of certain multi-object 3-D geometry containment relationships.
This one didn’t work out… But rest assured I’ll keep searching for something that fits!
(Ed. Note: Ben is doing very well sitting up by himself these days.)
Sometimes napping can be hard to do. But that just means that there’s opportunity here. For example, if napping could be an Olympic sport, I’m sure I could bring home the gold medal!
Here I am doing an In-Crib “Exposed Double Foot Peek” maneuver as I thrash my way to slumber.
And here’s my strong finish, which I’m calling the “Partial Blanket, Half Twist, Binky In”. Level of difficulty: High. Olympic Gold, here I come!
A moving demonstration of my Jumperoo prowess… Behold!

Well, the day finally came. I wonder what M&D thought when they found me in my crib this morning – facing the wrong way and on my tummy!?
I acted like nothing had happened, but they got all excited for some reason.
Later that day, M&D got a command performance out of me so that y’all could watch!
Thank you…. thank you very much.

Or you can look at it right here:)
Recently, I’ve been able to hold my head up higher and for longer during tummy time. I’m starting to think about rolling over (it might have happened a few times already – Wow!) and crawling. I’ve got the motions down, but for some reason, I’m just …. not … moving … yet. You with the camera! Little help?
Not satisfied with basic standing anymore…
… I’m moving up to Tai chi. How many kids have Tai chi’d before they crawl?
Here I am practicing my sitting technique and enjoying some puppet theater put on by Mommy.
What a comfy and supportive seat! (Ed. Note: Thanks to Ben & Allison for the Bumbo seat!)
Or if WordPress would let me say this in the title: Look Ma – no hands!
I can’t say that I’ll be able to repeat this feat anytime soon, but I’d say this is pretty impressive on the eve of my 3-month birthday!
Recently, Mommy and I spent some quality time working on smiling, which I’m getting better and better at.
It makes Mommy really happy when I get a good smile! (Just call it another tool in the toolbox for wrapping Mommy (& Daddy) around my (very) little finger…)
