Fixing Things…

October 7th, 2010. (2 years, 4 months old.) by ben

Daddy is always fixing things around the house.  Well!  I can fix things, too!

First, this keyboard needs to work.

And somehow, this door stop came apart and needs to be put back together.

That’s the great thing about fixing things: it’s always easy to break something if you need something to fix!

(Ed. Note: Yes, Ben did remove the hinge pin all by himself.  As always, you can click to magnify…)

I can see that Ben is good at taking things apart to see how they work. I am amazed at his concentration when looking at something. He will be good a fixing things around the house like his dad. This must come from the Stark side of the family!

The real question is: “Did Ben get the little white rubber thingy back on the door stop and did he get the door stop and pin back in the door hinge?” Probably not without help from M&D, but he’s working on it.

Now wait a minute, Grandpa Stark! Your daughter-in-law Jennifer was no slouch when it came to fixing things. She actually did a brake job on our Oldsmobile when Mark had had arm surgery and couldn’t do it himself! So, maybe Ben gets his abilities from Dad AND Mom!
