Pony Ride!

October 23rd, 2010. (2 years, 4 months old.) by ben

My friends Tommy and Rosie turned 2 and they had pony rides at their party!  I got to ride on ‘Sugar’.  At first, I wasn’t too sure how this was all going to work.  But everyone said it would be OK so I decided to tough it out.

Sugar’s mommy told me to hold on to the saddle horn, so I never let go the whole time.

Almost smiling…

There we go!  It was a little scary, but in the end it was OK.  My first pony ride!  Yay!

Update: Here’s some video of the ride.

Ben did a great job riding the pony. He kept one hand firmly on the saddle horn and one hand firmly gripping Mommy the whole time. We may have a little equestrian on our hands. :)

Ben keeps adding to his firsts! Wow a ride on a pony. Maybe next time, the pony could actually go some where so Ben could get the feel of Sugar moving under him and trying to balance on top. (I assume that because the background in the first and last pictures is the same, Sugar didn’t move.)

Not true! Sugar walked up and down the long entrance road carrying her precious cargo. There’s video to prove it… maybe I can get that posted…

Glad to hear Ben got his monies worth! He will probably be more at ease next time M&D put him on a pony.

Hey, Ben! What fun! I always loved riding ponies, and I hope you get to do it again sometime. It’s great to see pony rides coming back into practice again, because I don’t remember that occurring when Mom Jen was a little girl. Ben, you looked so sweet in your blue hat with your pick cheeks!
