Trader Joe’s

October 24th, 2010. (2 years, 4 months old.) by ben

I like Trader Joe’s. They have shopping carts that are just my size, and M&D let me help do the shopping.

Ben is a great shopper. Not only is he good at putting things in the basket, he is a natural at reorganizing the shelves and he has total control of his shopping cart! Good going Ben! Pretty soon mom can stay home and just send Ben out to shop.

I wish Ben could help me with my shopping. But our Trader Joe’s does not have the little shopping carts. Oh, well…I could learn a few things from the careful way he puts things back on the shelves (not!) and counts the bags. His cart was a little high and I thought he might end up with it on the floor at some point. Didn’t happen! The shots of him looking and looking at the baskets by the checkout are priceless–what was he thinking? He was probably deciding if whatever was there was worth the price and the calories!

Ben is so well behaved in his visit to the store. He has so many oportunities to mess up and do bad things most kids his age would do and yet he resists doing anything he shouldn’t. He is helpful and follows directiions from Jen beautifully. He even resists the urge to play with the bright packages in the baskets at the checkout and this is after a long time in the store. This is a great comment on the job both M&D are doing raising Ben as well as his desire to please you both. Cudos to the Stark Family!
Not that you necessarily need any thumbs up from me. I’m sure that both of you see what a great little boy you are bringing along into adulthood. Ben is a lucky boy!
