Haircut

February 9th, 2011. (2 years, 8 months old.) by ben

Getting my hair cut is fun.  I get to watch videos on the iPad.

And Daddy does such a great job.  Sometimes I have trouble hearing my video when Daddy keeps saying “Hold still!”.  What does that mean, anyway?

We just bought a Flowbee to cut Oliver’s hair. It worked great but it was really loud!

It looks like Dad is doing a great job on Ben’s hair. I see Ben still has both ears so things must be going pretty well. I imagine that cutting Ben’s hair must be a challenge for Daddy because at this age Ben hasn’t learned to hold still. I have the same problem with Darren.

He’s looks like an angel in the pictures, holding very still.

Ben, your words say it is fun but your expression is sending an entirely different message. Or is that just intense concentration on the videos on the iPad?

Yeah, he held very still for that haircut… the next one not so much… Let’s just say we won’t be featuring any pictures of the back of his head for a few blog entries…

I know dad likes scissors but an electric trimmer works well around the neck and ears as you can hold Ben’s head still with one hand while cutting with the other.

It’s already hard enough to keep Ben from turning around to see what I’m doing. I can only imagine what kind of reaction an electric trimmer would produce right now. OK, so perhaps I only want to imagine such a reaction – not experience it.
