Fixing the Chairs
May 28th, 2011. (2 years, 11 months old.) by benOur kitchen chairs get a lot of use what with all the climbing, pushing, storage, hauling, and delivery services they are used for.
So when Daddy said they were getting too wobbly and we needed to fix them, I was more than happy to help. I got my drill and tape measure all ready to go, and then we started taking the first chair apart.
Next, I added the glue. I was very careful and a good listener, and did it just the way Daddy said.
Then it was time to put my drill to good use. So I did some drilling.
Then Daddy had a turn. His drill is really loud. But I’m almost 3 and know how to handle that.
After we were all done, no more wobbly chairs! Go Daddy!
Well, I can’t believe that I am the first to comment on this posting! But I think this is a GREAT posting because Ben is helping his dad with a job around the house that really shows him how things go together. Ben is such an intelligent child! He just wants to be in the thick of things and do it all. Dad, you are a great father AND a great mentor!
Way to go Ben!!! (and I guess Will helped a little too).
What handy men you have around that house Jen!
Next time Ben comes to SoCal, I have a few chairs that need the same type of shoring up. I’m sure ben will be glad to show me how to do it.
Wow, Ben isn’t even 3 years old yet and he’s already more proficient at fixing things around the house than I am. Of course that isn’t setting the bar all that high but he has a great start and kudos to Wil for teaching him. What a great team effort.
HI Ben, it sure has been a wonderful three years! We have been watching you grow up and accomplish so many things! Happy Birthday, Ben! You are a family treasure! We love you very much!
