A day at the park

May 3rd, 2009. (11 months old.) by ben

The other day M&D took me to our local park.  First, we went on the slide.

It’s kind of scary to go down by my myself, but going down with Daddy wasn’t too bad.  He seems to have a lot of experience with slides.  Funny, that.  I don’t see a lot of big people on slides, so I wouldn’t have guessed it.

After the slide, we went exploring.  Here I am looking for mountain lions in the creek!

Oh well, no big cats.  But that’s probably for the best.  I’ll just practice walking along the fence!

Then I found a big stick!  I think Daddy was jealous! imgd40_00352

Give Ben a few months to learn how to walk real well and with his stair climbing abilities, he will be going down the slid with no problem. Right now , he looks like the stick is about the right speed. He must know that a stick that big is just what he needs to keep the Mountain Lions away!!

You know, Ben, that playgrounds are so much fun!
When you’re not busy climbing and going down the slide you can look at all the other kids running around and playing—it’s a great time!
