Red Balloon
May 7th, 2009. (11 months old.) by benMy first balloon! Who knew that such “up” thingys existed! Everything up until now has been a “down” thingy! Daddy got me my first balloon on our trip to the grocery store. I wonder if this is how airplanes fly? Are they full of balloons?

I am glad to see that Ben is having yet another new experience. Things that go up rather than down are very interesting. My only question is what is a thingy? Is this a new scientific term?
I love to see Ben check out new things. He really seems to be concentrating on his new experiences. Like the gravel, the lemon tree leaves, the park fence & the shower fog. You can almost see the wheels turning as he tries to fit these new objects into his world. Hurrah to dad for providing yet another thing for Ben to ponder.
Or should that be “thingy” to ponder?
