Today, I’m going for a special walk with Mommy. We are walking to support our friend Taylor who has Neurofibromatosis. Taylor is also walking today—although he is down in San Diego walking in the official Children’s Tumor Foundation walk. We couldn’t go to San Diego this weekend, but we wanted Taylor to know we were thinking of him.
Go Team Taylor!
These days, going out to see the garbage truck on Thursdays is pretty routine. I have to bring along things to show to the garbage man just to keep things interesting. Last time I brought along Clifford and my Clifford books to show.
I got a big thumbs up from the garbage man. Does that mean he wants me to put them in the truck?! Oh no! Maybe I’ll leave them at home next time.
I recently got another haircut from Daddy. I think he’s getting better at it.
All I know for sure is that I get to watch the long trash truck video when he’s working, so I don’t mind.
Today, I officially started my job as “Helper Around The House”. And what’s even better is I got my very own ID badge! It lets me beep into and out of doors like on the washer and dryer!
Monday was the big canoe trip. First, we went for a ride in a big van with canoes on the trailers. I got to see snow out the window!
Before getting in the canoes, Daddy helped me make the necessary preparations.
Then it was time to get my life vest on and pose for a picture.
After that, the guides (Matt and Chase) told everyone what we would be doing. I thought I could listen best by getting in the boat and visualizing.
Finally, it was time to leave. Here we go!
Then it was my turn to paddle. It turns out that this is harder than it looks! I gave Mommy her paddle back pretty quickly.
Avery was in her own boat with Uncle John and Aunt Heather.
Once we got to shore, it was time for a snack. That stuff that looks like snow in the background…?
… it really is snow!
When we all got back and it was time to get in the vans, I got ready to direct everybody to their seats. Can you find me?
When you’re 3, you get a 2nd toothbrush so you can brush faster and get back to playing quicker. Hooray!
Those of you who enjoyed Diapers on Couch #3 may enjoy viewing this next installation:
And here’s a first look at “Alphabet on Shelf #1”
and “Closet Surprise #1”
Some people think diapers are just for wearing. Well, I’m here to tell you about modern toddler art!
Here is one of my largest installations to date:
I’m hoping to evoke a visceral reaction in my audience with this highly provocative piece, but I understand that reactions to my work are tempered by the viewer’s own life experiences.
(Ed. Note: Yeah, I get the full range, like: BEN! I JUST PUT THOSE DIAPERS BACK IN THE DRAWER YESTERDAY! ARE YOU TRYING TO DRIVE ME CRAZY! But isn’t that cute? Get the camera!)
