Shopping cart at TJ’s

October 4th, 2015. (2 years, 8 months old.) by andrew

Daddy let me get my own cart on our last trip to Trader Joe’s.

I got to push it and put stuff in it and everything.  Daddy said I did a good job because I didn’t run into anything!

The Beach!

September 5th, 2015. (2 years, 7 months old.) by andrew

Yesterday, we took my first trip to the beach.  By the time we got there, I’d eaten 5 squeezies, so I was already having a good time.  And then….

Woah.  Look at all that water…. Fun!

Uncle John was nice enough to take me out wading in the water.  We had a great time!

There was also digging and sand castle building with Ben, Avery, and Ollie.  You would not believe how much sand there is at the beach!

(Ed. Note: Andrew had a great time and seemed to love every minute of it.)

First Flight!

August 9th, 2015. (7 years, 2 months old.) by ben

OK, well it is a first flight in a small airplane, anyway.

My friend Derek invited Daddy and I to go for a ride.  At first a was a little scared, but after Derek practiced a few landings, I could tell that he was a good pilot.

You can see a lot of stuff out the window of this plane!

Baseball Clinic at A’s Stadium!

July 28th, 2015. (7 years, 1 month old.) by ben

Daddy took me down to the Oakland Coliseum for a baseball clinic. We got to go and play on the actual field! And the A’s coaches were coaching us, just like the big league-ers!

Here I am, taking a ground ball from Mike Gallego, the A’s 3rd base coach!

Can you spot me in my Giants hat?  (Daddy, I need an A’s hat… C’mon!)

Then it was on to hitting.

We did rotations through pitching, fly balls, grounders, hitting, catching, and picking off runners (my favorite).

And a big thanks to Chevrolet for putting on this event!  The grounds crew got right to work when we were done as there was an A’s game starting in a few hours.

Back in the Saddle

July 27th, 2015. (7 years, 1 month old.) by ben

I got to go back for another week of horse camp this summer!  And my trusty steed, Johnathan, is still there!

Each day, we take our buddies out of their stalls…

… walk them to the arena…

… and take them for a spin.  I can trot on Johnathan all by myself now!

Giants Game

July 8th, 2015. (7 years, 1 month old.) by ben

After a long time driving, we’re almost there!

Heading in!

Wow!  These are some great seats.  We can really see the players up close!

…like Hunter Pence in right field

Everybody had their Giants gear, of course!  Go GIANTS!

By the end, though, I think the chocolate ice cream (and Giants losing) did me in.

That’s OK, it was a fun ride home with Avery.

4th of July

July 4th, 2015. (7 years, 1 month old.) by ben

Avery got to come with us to Christa’s this year for 4th of July fireworks.

And, WOW, we were right under the fireworks!

Sorry Dad, it is way more fun to watch the fireworks with Avery.

Disneyland!

June 9th, 2015. (7 years old.) by ben

Daddy and I took a trip down to visit Grandpa and Nana, and we spent a day at Disneyland!

We started out with Big Thunder Mountain, which Daddy said would be fun and not too scary.

I think he was right.

With that under my belt, it was on to Space Mountain.

We went on three times.  AWEEEEESOOOOOMEEEEEE!!!!

Then we had some popcorn (thanks again, Grandpa!), and it was off to Frontier Land.  We did some shooting and I hit two targets on my first try.

Then I was ready for another big ride, so it was Splash Mountain next.  That ended up being my favorite ride.

Next it was Indiana Jones (awesome), ice cream, Dumbo, the parade, Toontown, train ride, and Splash Mountain again.

Whew!  What a great day!

(Ed. Note: Thanks Grandpa for coming with us.  It was great to have you there!)

Player’s Choice Game

May 25th, 2015. (6 years, 11 months old.) by ben

I was picked to play in the player’s choice game.  It was lots of fun.  I got to play 1st base some of the time.

And of course got to run the bases.  Check out this slide!

Woo hooo!

Gardening with Mommy

May 10th, 2015. (2 years, 3 months old.) by andrew

First, Mommy shows me where to plant the seed.  She always knows where they go.

Then I plant them.

Mommy makes gardening fun and easy.  I can’t wait to eat the stuff we’re going to grow!  Happy Mother’s Day, Mommy!

(Ed. Note: Ben would love it if we could grow baseball plants!)
